What Will Happen At My 1st Visit?

A comprehensive clinical exam including a history of the symptoms, medical history and chiropractic examination will be completed by the chiropractor. A diagnosis will be made and treatment will be explained. An anticipated length of treatment will be sidcussed along with any referrals if necessary.  You will be given an opportunity to ask any questions you might have.

What Conditions Do Chiropractors Treat?

Chiropractors are well know for the treatment of back and neck pain. Chiropractors also treat headaches, including migraines, Whiplash, car accident injuires, WSIB injuires, Sprains/strains due to sports or overuse, general health and well being, rotator cuff injuires, plantar fasciits and arthritis.

How Are Chiropractors Educated and Trained?

Chiropractors are one of 7 regulated health professionals allowed to use the title Doctor. Doctors of Chiropractic have at least 3 years of post secondary traiing before being admitted to the Doctor of Chiropractic Program. This program is a 4 year comprehensive program including clinical hours in the 4th year. Upon graduation a Canadian Board Exam must be passed before you receive your license. Chiropractors must maintain professional competency through approved seminars and courses.

Is Chiropractic Safe?

In general, chiropractic treatment is safe and effective treatment for many musculoskeletal conditions.  Complications are rare. Your chiropractor is well trained to determine if your problem will respond to chiropractic cure.

What About Children and Chiropractic?

Children have spines and nervous systems like adults. Falls, sports injuries, sitting in class, heavy school bags are all physical stresses on your child’s body.
